Local Non-Profits Collaborate to Produce the Second Annual Have a Heart Charity Ball

The Have a Heart Charity Ball began as a way for three brothers to introduce their friends to one another and has grown into a fundraiser for three local non-profit organizations. Today, the Have a Heart Charity Ball is produced by young professionals for young professionals. The goal is to give twenty- and thirty-something's the opportunity to enjoy a great time out while giving back to our community.

The vision of Sacred Heart Community Service is a community united to ensure that every child and adult is free from poverty. Their mission is to change lives and impact poverty by providing essential services, offering tools for self-sufficiency, and ministering with dignity, compassion and respect.

Sacred Heart Nativity School is dedicated to providing quality, low-cost private education to at-risk youth in the 6th through 8th grades. It is an academically challenging and a highly structured environment. SHNS students benefit from a rich and integrated environment where they learn not only reading, math and science, but also the importance of hard work, ethical leadership, compassion for others and responsible citizenship. www.shnativity.org

The Center for Employment Training (CET) is one of the country's largest, most effective educational, and employment training programs, focused on those who need help the most. A nonprofit organization, CET was established in San Jose, California in 1967 and has grown to a national network of 31 vocational educational centers operating in 11 states, and Washington D.C. Working with the private sector, CET has successfully trained and placed more than 100,000 people into jobs, over the last 37 years.
